Etnies still believes in Santa Claus
|In the midst of the current recession, it seemed as though the Grinch might steal the joy right out of our Christmas event. But Sole Technology prevailed to spread the Christmas cheer to those in need. For the past four years, my team and I have brought Santa Claus and more than 2,000 pairs of shoes to needy children in Orange County at the etnies Holiday Festival. This year was no exception. On Friday, Dec. 12, the Sole Technology team and I once again delivered 500 pairs of shoes to hundreds of children at the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest. There's nothing like watching the excitement in their eyes as they tear open the wrapping to find a brand new pair of shoes in their very own size. They also got the chance to meet Santa and do arts and crafts.
In addition to Santa Claus, we also had pro skateboarders on hand to donate their time with the kids and, of course, do some skateboarding. See pro skateboarder Mikey Taylor giving a lucky kid a pair of his pro model shoes.
Even our moto X guys Brian Deegan and Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg came out to help.
Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year from all of us at Sole Technology.
