Tucked in a small shopping plaza in downtown Fullerton, The Brownstone Cafe offers a quiet setting in a serene courtyard. It may be small, but the menu is not. Recently celebrating its 10th anniversary, the café offers healthy dining for a reasonable price.

You must try their trademark tomato basil bisque, and pair it with one of the many sandwich choices, such as grilled cheese or the Chicken Bruitaliana. Unique pizzas, pastas, wraps and salads round out the rest of the menu. Wine, champagne and beer are also available.

Save room for dessert! It will supply the happy ending necessary for this special lunch. The espresso brownie with tiny walnuts scattered inside, topped with a few sliced strawberries and a side of whipped cream, is incredible. Or try Brownstone’s many dessert bars, freshly baked cookies or traditional cheesecake.

Take a break from the workday, and enjoy a nice latte in the afternoon. Brownstone may just be the fix you need.
