Anaheim's affordable housing plan, continued ...
There is no specific site designated for the new units, according to spokeswoman Ruth Ruiz. She says it is a citywide program. A developer will propose a project, and city officials will then work to create plans or approvals.
The strategic plan also addresses current needs through the city's affordable housing program, which includes Section 8 vouchers. Alternative measures are offered, as well, if the state seizes redevelopment funding. This measure's goal would be 830 affordable housing units.
