Ingram Micro partnership, continued ...

"With the onset of the ARRA and the need for cost-cutting efficiencies in the U.S. health care system, physicians are incented to consider EHR (electronic health record) and ePrescribing technology solutions," notes Bob Laclede, vice president of business development for Ingram Micro. "This, against the backdrop of government health care reform, makes the health care market one of the fastest growing sales markets for IT in the U.S."

NextGen Healthcare also expects demand for such electronic systems to increase, due to the federal program, according to Scott Decker, president of the firm.

"Working with Ingram Micro will enable us to leverage its extensive distribution network and technology capabilities to extend our market reach and meet this demand," he says.
