Santa Ana-based traffic management firm Iteris has inked a $2.3 million contract with the city of Corona on a project aimed at making transportation more efficient in the region.

Iteris will implement the integration component of the Advanced Traffic Management System Phase Two Project. The new program stems from the city's existing phase one development, which was completed by Iteris in 2003.

The newest project is expected to begin immediately and will run through the next nine months. It will include a number of different components. Among them: The firm will integrate new hardware and software programs for its intelligent transportation systems.

"Iteris has been involved with the project from the early stages of development of the Master Plan, and we are pleased that Corona has decided to move forward with the next phase of the ATMS Project using Iteris’ capabilities,” says company President and CEO Abbas Mohaddes.
