![]() The annual program ranks companies in the technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean-tech industries based on revenue growth over a five-year period. The medical equipment sector led the local ranking with four firms, followed by the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals division with three companies. Three companies were among the top 50 – AMDL, Irvine-based Spectrum Pharmaceuticals at No. 22 and Irvine-based ISTA Pharmaceuticals, which came in at No. 47. But the growth reported among all the companies is noteworthy, particularly in the harsh economic climate. For example, Irvine-based Web firm Trinet Internet Solutions was the eighth fastest-growing tech company in O.C., and No. 338 on the nationwide list. The company saw 364 percent revenue growth over the five-year period. Trinet President John Carley says this is primarily due to the staff, the company's innovative vision and work to provide new Web solutions, and, of course, the clients.
