Yamaha generates deal to power NASCAR venue
Yamaha Motor Corp. has signed a two-year partnership with Homestead-Miami Speedway, the venue of the final NASCAR season event. The Cypress-based outdoor power equipment manufacturer will supply water pumps, phone charging stations and generators during the final weekend event of the NASCAR season to help keep operations running smoothly and provide guests with special amenities.
“NASCAR fans are looking for a high energy, action-packed experience, and this new partnership with Yamaha will help us deliver above and beyond," said Shawn McGee, Homestead-Miami Speedway’s vice president of sales and marketing.
The three-day Ford Championship Weekend began Friday, Nov. 16, and marks the end of three separate NASCAR competitions: the Camping World Truck Series, the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series.
“With multiple days of races and activities, this valuable partnership with Homestead-Miami Speedway is an opportunity to showcase the long-lasting power and quality workmanship of Yamaha generators,” said Elliott Schuessler, Yamaha's Outdoor Power Equipment district marketing manager. “Yamaha can provide the energy this weekend and in future years.”
Yamaha also recently penned a deal with the University of Georgia to provide generators for the university’s football program.
