Susan Levinstein, partner at HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors in Tustin, has been nominated for the 2014 “Women in Business Awards,” sponsored by the Orange County Business Journal. The awards honor Orange County’s exceptional business and professional women.
Levinstein and HMWC were recognized in 2012 for being the first Orange County CPA firm to start a practice focused on women-owned businesses. The firm recognized that their women-owned business clients face a number of unique challenges, so HMWC decided to develop a practice specifically devoted to their needs. The practice is staffed by CPAs and other highly credentialed advisors, both female and male, to best serve clients. Professionals in the “Women-Owned Business Practice” offer assistance on a wide range of business issues including finance, accounting, banking, sales management, employees, and customer and vendor relations.
Levinstein was previously recognized as one of Orange County's "25 Exceptional Women of 2012" by the Women's Business Expo. In addition to her responsibilities at HMWC, she is actively involved in the National Association of Women Business Owners, Orange County Forum, the Real Estate Council, the Finance Committee and Executive Boad of the Jewish Federation of Orange County, and volunteers for Working Wardrobes and Family Promise of Orange County. She also enjoys acting, and is a frequent performer in and supporter of local community theater productions in Orange County.
