7 homes at 3000 The Plaza sell last month

29 units in the luxury high-rise condominium tower in Irvine remain.

Seven homes at the luxury high-rise condo tower 3000 The Plaza in Irvine sold in February. The units, which included three models, were priced between $600,000 and $1.5 million. The building has a total of 105 units, and 29 are still available.

The level of activity last month is yet another positive sign that the new-home industry is improving, and it's a tribute to the popularity of the facility, according to Geoffrey Edmunds, president of Geoffrey H. Edmunds & Associates, which acquired the project last year.

One of the reasons for the activity, according to Edmunds, is a sales plan that focuses on model homes.

"We've noticed a trend of potential buyers having an interest in our decorated models," he says. "So, we started encouraging customers to make an offer."

Another incentive? The facility is currently offering a 3.5 percent rate on a five-year fixed loan.

3000 The Plaza is the third phase of a three-tower condominium project on Jamboree Road. The first two buildings have a total of 202 homes, which are currently sold out. The newest facility boasts the region's only rooftop pool; a fitness club; 12 floor plans; and floor-to-ceiling windows.
