The Anaheim Center for New Energy Technologies, or AC-NET, is helping local companies while also supporting the environment through its Clean Tech Business Plan Competition, which ends April 15.

Through Clean Tech, AC-NET – a collaborative partnership between the city of Anaheim and Cal State Fullerton – aims to spark innovative ideas in clean water and energy technologies by supporting the efforts of entrepreneurs, researchers and startups.

Three candidates with the most promising technology for addressing energy and water-related challenges in Southern California, while also demonstrating profit potential, will have the opportunity to win a grand prize of $25,000, or a second- and third-place prize of $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.

"We are extremely pleased with the overall quality of companies entering the competition," says Marcie Edwards, the general manager of Anaheim Public Utilities. "The business plans we have received show a strong focus on solving real challenges and creating meaningful solutions to the energy and water challenges we face."
