Access Beverage of Santa Ana to contract with European vodka company

The company plans to acquire a 50 percent stake in Diamond Wodka.

Access Beverage, which manufactures, markets and sells wine and spirit brands, recently signed a letter of intent to gain a 50 percent stake in the European vodka company, Diamond Wodka.

The company's brands include Diamond Wodka, the third-bestselling vodka in Holland and Belgium, with Diamond Red the No. 1 selling item in its category; and Simply RAW Vodka and Simply Cocktails, which are the company's North American lines.

Through the agreement, Access Beverage is expected to hold joint ownership of all brands, worldwide trademarks, intellectual properties, import and distribution rights, and profits of the operation, including delivery of items produced by Simply Vodka. The company will also retain the exclusive license for Simply products produced in North America.

Diamond Wodka is triple distilled and filtered with real diamond filters and has experienced recent growth in the European market. Access Beverage believes the contract will lead the brand to grow worldwide and increase revenue throughout 2009, despite the recession.

"The outlook for our company is very strong," says Diane Svehlak, president of Access Beverage. "We look forward to concluding what I consider to be a significant acquisition for Access Beverage as we market and distribute our brand lines to existing and new markets."

Access Beverage plans to release brands in China, Canada and Russia in the future. Its brands include Le Snoot, Mardi Gras and Bees Knees wines, and Simply RAW Vodka.
