Aliso Viejo-based Networks in Motion  – a wireless navigation and hyper-local search company – is extending its Gokivo technology to support  BlackBerry smartphones in the international market. As the most widely used mobile phone navigation service in North America, Networks In Motion provides for leading mobile partners around the world. Gokivo support is now being extended to the U.K., Western Europe and Canada.

“As mobile devices proliferate and grow more powerful, the handset is becoming the platform that will drive almost all the future growth in turn-by-turn navigation,” says Doug Antone, CEO of Networks in Motion, “and we’re going to be leading that transition and increasing the smartphone footprint for Gokivo.”

The BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones will now be able to download Gokivo directly from the BlackBerry App World. To promote this new change, Networks In Motion is hosting the “Summer Nav Sale.” Customers can try the application free for 30 days, ending Labor Day weekend.
