Aluratek Inc. unveils Wi-Fi music system

Irvine-based Aluratek Inc. has announced its release of the Internet Radio Alarm Clock with MP3 Player that streams 10,000 Internet radio stations, and plays FM radio and digital music.

Aluratek is a popular maker of highly developed but easy-to-use computer products and consumer electronics. The company’s new alarm clock lets people stream Internet radio worldwide without a monthly subscription fee, listen to regular FM radio and play digital music from a sophisticated item that fits nicely in the home or office.

Users can pick from more than 10,000 global stations through a built-in vTuner, and the system works with universal plug-n-play audio servers such as Microsoft Media Player, Microsoft Media Connect and MusicMatch Jukebox.

Also, media can be retrieved through a wireless connection with Wi-Fi 802.11 b and g; an Ethernet connection; USB 2.0 connectivity with a flash drive; or through the FM radio.

The alarm clock has two programmable alarm settings, so users can wake up to Internet or FM radio, digital music and other alarm tones. It comes with an amplifier, an external plug for use with a headset, two RCA plugs for external speakers, a remote and a one-year limited warranty. The Internet Radio Alarm Clock with MP3 Player will be sold on CDW, PC Connection, amazon.com, PC Mall, buy.com, provantage.com and other e-commerce sites.
