Ambry Genetics, an Aliso Viejo-based company that furnishes genetics-related products specializing in clinical diagnostics and genomics, has expanded its customer base, thanks to a new deal with Cell Line Genetics, a provider of stem cell services and products.

Under the arrangement, Cell Line Genetics, headquartered in Madison, Wis., will distribute the Ambry Genetics StemArray and all related services to its current customers, as well as additional companies and research groups in the future. The StemArray is designed for scientists performing research with human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS).

Both Ambry Genetics and Cell Line Genetics anticipate that this relationship will increase sales of the StemArray and boost its use in the regenerative-medicine and stem cell market throughout the world.

“We could not be more pleased about this agreement,” said Ardy Arianpour, Ambry Genetics’ vice president of business development. “Cell Line Genetics has the depth and breadth of experience to help us shift sales of the Ambry StemArray into high gear. The StemArray is the obvious solution for stem cell scientists. … Our scientific expertise combined with Cell Line Genetics’ (market) strength should make for a strong synergistic partnership.”

Cell Line Genetics’ clients include universities and research institutes, as well as biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
