![]() Amerita has focused its efforts on establishing a presence in top growth areas by building new branches and buying existing companies. But the purchase of Advantage Infusion Services marks the company’s first acquisition in a market where it already maintains operations. Amerita provides complex pharmaceutical products and clinical services to patients outside a hospital setting. It’s a growing market that’s driven by an aging population that requires specialty health-care products at affordable costs. Advantage Infusion Services specializes in the children’s health-care products. “Advantage Infusion Services and (CEO) Ed Lee have a great reputation in the pediatric market,” said Amerita President and CEO Jim Glynn. “This is a new specialty area for Amerita in San Antonio and complements our strength in the adult nutrition market.” The two companies will consolidate operations under the management of Lee, who will serve as the branch manager.
