Up to 18 percent of background screening results and up to 19 percent of drug testing findings negatively affect a decision to hire a particular individual.
Major challenges cited in the survey include attracting and retaining experienced workers, transferring knowledge and information among workers and managing changes in staff numbers. Many organizations are formulating strategic plans to face these difficulties throughout the year.
When asked about best practices for success, some of the more prominent answers include responding to business and talent management challenges, reviewing screening standards every year and evaluating systems that complement screening.
