![]() Anaheim Hills-based Bomel Construction has inked a deal with the city of San Bernardino to build a four-level parking garage for rail riders at the Santa Fe Depot. The $4.2 million project is expected to begin by the end of the month, with completion scheduled for May 2011. The more than 350-stall concrete structure will be at the Third St. site of the 82-year-old depot, which is serviced by Metrolink and Amtrak. The project, which totals 113,500 square feet, will boast a Mission-style design to match the station. The project's architect is Irvine-based Owen Design. Bomel has constructed three parking garages for Metrolink and Amtrak riders during its 40-year history, including projects in Irvine. In total, the firm has completed more than 350 structures and performed more than $1 billion of work for municipalities, casinos and commercial projects, among others.
