Irvine-based Boost Mobile is embarking on a new plan to expand its consumer base and retail presence: The company is launching a selection of its branded Motorola handsets on multichannel retailer HSN.
Boost Mobile was able to solidify this agreement – which is its first contracted relationship with a television shopping network – through wireless distributor Mobile Now.
HSN is credited with creating the TV retail industry more than 30 years ago. The network reaches 90 million homes nationwide and is a multibillion dollar retailer. What's more, hsn.com drives more than a quarter of a million unique users a day to its site.
“Partnering with HSN allows us to reach a whole new demographic of consumers,” says Jeff Auman, vice president of sales and distribution for Boost. “As our target customers continue to mature, we are aggressively delving into new and innovative retail channels ensuring Boost Mobile is easily accessible to our growing audience.”
This month, Boost will feature its Motorola i776 flip phone and its purple counterpart i775w. In November, the company plans to add the Motorola Debut i856 slider handset and Motorola Clutch i465, its first full keyboard QWERTY handset. The products will also be available on hsn.com.
