Irvine’s Boost Mobile adds 2.1 million customers
Third quarter 2009 financial results indicate an increase of 14.4 percent in Orange County alone.

Irvine-based Boost Mobile announced its third-quarter 2009 financial results Friday and results showed 2.1 million customer net adds since the beginning of the year. No other U.S. prepaid wireless carrier has added as many net adds in a full year since at least 2003.
In Orange County alone, Boost Mobile has experienced roughly a 14.4 percent growth rate in subscribers since the beginning of 2009, largely due to the popularity of its $50 Monthly Unlimited Plan.
