![]() The products will be revealed at the Irvine station this afternoon, honoring the firefighters and solar energy's benefits. Mayor Beth Krom, Orange County Fire Authority Chief Chip Prather, and Borrego Solar and Sharp representatives will be in attendance. “The fire departments are thrilled by the generosity of Sharp and Borrego,” says Prather. “They know that by reducing their electric bill, they can use those extra funds for maintaining their building, or putting more boots on the ground.” The Sharp OnEnergy technology is expected to reduce electricity costs, conserve fire department resources and reduce limitations on California's electrical grid. They are 4.5kW each. Borrego donated design, installation and continued maintenance and upkeep. The dedication will take place at 1 p.m. at 1 Fire Authority Road in Irvine. |
