Budget Blinds aims to double North American presence

The Orange-based company wants to add 100 new territories this year alone.

Orange-based Budget Blinds plans to expand to 100 new territories in 2011, with a goal of reaching a total of 1,500 regions throughout North America over the next few years. That would nearly double its market presence.

To get there, the company is recruiting entrepreneurs who would like to tap into the home-improvement industry as a franchisee. And company executives say now is a perfect time – the market is expected to top $321 billion this year.

“Not only are more consumers primping their homes for sale, but many who are unable to obtain their asking price have removed their houses from the market and are looking to remodeling, renovating and decorating as an intermediary solution, until things pick up,” said Budget Blinds Co-Founder and Executive Vice President Brent Hallock. “That’s where we come in.”
