DigitalSound Production Services is a full-service production company that specializes in concert touring support, fashion show design, and private and corporate events. The company takes pride in its switch to green technology, with its use of LED lighting systems. “Our lighting systems have been seen on some of the national and international tours such as Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney and Sheryl Crow, just to name a few,” says Dever. “We have also made our way into retail, with clients such as Macy’s and Nordstrom. Our work with them ranges from fashion shows and concerts to in-store promotions with a long list of celebrities.” It’s the DPS team’s goal to grasp a client’s vision and then make it a reality. “There is never a job too small or too big for us,” says Dever. “We pride ourselves on customer service and love working with people.”

Most difficult project: Convincing my parents that I had a future in this industry. That was a huge, long, tough process. But now, being a new father, I know parents only want the best for their children. My family is very proud!
How you became interested in audio-visual design: Growing up, I was fascinated with everything audio. My friend down the street had a set of turntables and mixer, and we spent hours working on them. I knew when I started to get the hang of it that this is what I wanted to do – entertain! Now I get to do it on a larger scale.
What you like best about your work: I love when clients come to me with just a thought or a vision. It makes me so happy to see them light up after we give them concepts and help them achieve their goals.
What stresses you out most: What’s for lunch?
What you do to unwind: I really look forward to my time with my beautiful ladies – my wife, 10-month-old daughter and 3-year-old Yorkie.
The business tool you can’t live without: I have two – my iPhone and my Mac Book Pro.
What’s in the top drawer of your desk right now? I actually have a glass desk, but I will tell you what’s on top of it – client files and an endless amount of Apple products.
