Laguna Beach-based Victoria Skimboards is the premier manufacturer of skimboards and also produces a line of apparel and accessories. “Our goal has been to bring skimboarding to the masses while keeping the integrity of the sport alive and flourishing,” says the company’s general manager, Trigg Garner, who oversees the operation. “Integrity, passion, innovation and customer service are all part of who we are.”

First time you were introduced to skimboarding: On my home break of Bluebird Beach in Laguna, when I was about 10 years old
Favorite song on your iPod: There are different songs from different genres that I consider favorites, but if I had to pick one that will always stand out, it would be “Mouth for War” by Pantera.
Steak or seafood: Both. And you might as well throw in some potatoes, vegetables, a Samuel Adams Boston Lager and a brownie on top of vanilla ice cream.
Favorite subject in school: I had a class in college that focused on management consulting-related work. It was a very open-ended course that allowed us to explore things outside of the textbooks and broaden our horizons.
First car: A Chevy station wagon that I rented from my father
