For anyone planning to audition, the guidelines are as follows:
• It is only necessary to attend one of the two auditions. • Wear comfortable clothing. • Auditions are held in groups – unless you want a solo part. • If you want to audition for a solo song or dance, please bring your music or a tape; a pianist will be available. • Every cast member is required to raise a minimum of $1,000 through sponsorships, tickets and/or ads sales. • Performers must live in Orange County and be at least 21 years old. • Rehearsals will be held at 3420 Bristol Street, Costa Mesa, across from South Coast Plaza. • The first all-cast meeting will be held at the Island Hotel, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. • Most rehearsals are Saturday during the day and Wednesday evenings. •
The number of rehearsals you will need to attend are determined by the
amount of production numbers you are in and the size of your role. • Cameo sponsorship roles have a minimum number of rehearsals. •
Theatrical experience is not required. The CHOC Follies Motto – “If you
can talk, you can sing; if you can walk, you can dance!” • Being a part of the CHOC Follies is fantastic fun and one of the most memorable experiences you’ll ever have!
