The university's graduating class last year included 1,625 Hispanics who earned bachelor's degrees and nearly 200 who received master's degrees. CSU Fullerton placed 32nd in the nation for the number of master's degrees given to Hispanics.
Hispanics make up 28 percent of CSU Fullerton's nearly 40,000 students. Since 2004, the university has been designated by the U.S. Department of Education as a Hispanic-Serving Institution. University President Milton A. Gordon also serves as chairman of the board of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
