Cal State Fullerton is second in California and sixth in the nation for the number of bachelor's degrees awarded to Hispanic students, according to Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine.
The annual list ranks the top 100 four-year colleges and universities that confer the most bachelor's, master's and doctorates on Hispanic students. It is based on awarded degrees between July 1, 2007, and June 30 of last year from the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System program.
For specific majors, CSU Fullerton came in first in the nation for communications, parks, recreation, leisure and fitness studies; second in public administration; sixth in business and marketing, education and area studies; seventh in psychology; and eighth in protective services and visual and performing arts.
