The fourth annual Chapman University and Toyota of Orange 5K Run/Walk is just around the corner, so runners of all ages should dust off their trainers.

Touted as the Flattest, Fastest and 'Funnest' in the world, the event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. at the university on Saturday. Festivities include live music; commemorative medals for all finishers; trophies for the top three male and female finishers in each age division; trophies for top three male and female finishers in the overall race; and a complimentary post-race breakfast.

The course, which runs through the Old Towne Orange Historic District, is certified by the USA Track & Field. Age divisions range from 13 and under to 80 and over, and event proceeds will go toward scholarships at Chapman University.

Individuals interested in participating can register online for $35. The last day to register online is Wednesday, but registration will be available in-person during packet pickup on Oct. 9 or Oct. 10 for $40.

For directions and details on how to register or volunteer, visit chapman.edu/5k.
