The airport also extended Clean Energy's contract to manage and supply
its existing onsite CNG station until June of 2020. The facility fuels
terminal buses, operations vehicles, private fleets, door-to-door
shuttles and taxis.
The deal expands Clean Energy's partnership
with Dallas/Fort Worth, which serves nearly 60 million passengers
annually with some 1,750 flights every day, according to James Harger,
the firm's chief marketing officer and senior vice president. Clean
Energy, which fuels more than 17,500 vehicles at nearly 200 locations
throughout the U.S. and Canada, has been working with the airport since
2001.
Dallas/Fort Worth is "committed" to becoming more
environmentally conscious in its ground-transportation services,
according to Rusty Hodapp, vice president of energy and transportation
management at the airport.
"The transition of airport vehicles
to clean-burning natural gas power has already contributed
significantly to this goal," he says, "and will continue to do so.” <<< PREVIOUS PAGE
