Clean Energy will build New Jersey fuel station, continued ...
The new fuel station will operate full time from ACUA's property in Egg Harbor Township to support the organization's growing fleet of clean-burning trucks. The station will also be available to municipal and private compressed-natural gas fleet vehicles in the area.
To assist in funding the transition to natural gas vehicles and in the construction of the compressed-natural gas station, ACUA has been awarded $1.9 million in funds from the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Recovery Act.
Construction is expected to begin on the project early next year.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. currently fuels more than 17,500 vehicles at 195 locations across the United States and Canada.
