![]() Veolia Transportation, North America's largest private provider of public transit services, is under contract with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Agency (Metro) to begin operating a new fleet of environmentally friendly CNG buses in April 2010. The agency is moving forward with efforts to replace its older diesel-fueled buses with new CNG models. The new Veolia trucks will run in Metro's North L.A. County service area. Construction is set to begin on the new Clean Energy fueling station in January, and it is expected to be completed midyear. This latest contract marks Clean Energy’s continued expansion of CNG fueling stations and services across the country. The firm currently fuels more than 17,500 vehicles at nearly 200 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Clean Energy also owns and operates two liquefied-natural-gas production plants, among other facilities.
