Seal Beach-based Clean Energy Fuels, a leading provider of natural gas for transportation in North America, will build three clean natural gas fueling stations that will be used by passenger shuttles servicing Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Las Vegas international airports.

The Parking Spot, a leading off-airport parking service provider, will work with Clean Energy on building and maintaining the stations adjacent to Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston airports. Whittlesea Bell Transportation – the oldest and largest limousine, taxi and private shuttle service company operating in Las Vegas – will work with Clean Energy on the site near Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.

“At every airport we serve, we are committed to helping protect the environment by reducing emission impacts from the operation of our parking shuttle vans,” says Kevin Shrier, senior vice president of acquisitions and operations for The Parking Spot. “We have opted to begin replacing our diesel and gasoline-powered shuttles with clean-burning natural gas models, and have contracted with Clean Energy for CNG station construction and operation on several of our properties at major airports around the country.”

Located near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s Northfield Station, the new public access CNG location is designed to fuel several types of shuttles as well as other private and public fleets in the area. Dallas/For Worth is the nation’s third-busiest airport, serving 57 million passengers each year. In an effort to improve air quality and reduce environmental impact, the airport has implemented pollution control strategies that include reducing mobile and stationary emission sources.
