The Mobile Source Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) have approved $3.6 million in grant money to help with the large expense to increase the amount of Southern California’s natural gas fueling stations.

SCAQMD also awarded another $7.7 million that will help Clean Energy’s customers to buy clean-burning natural-gas-running fleet trucks, buses and taxis.

“These natural gas infrastructure development and vehicle acquisition awards will result in significant air-quality benefits, as harmful emissions are reduced throughout the South Coast Air Basin,” says Andrew Littlefair, Clean Energy president and CEO.

Clean Energy’s own grants department gives assistance with recognizing, applying for and obtaining grant funding. More than $107 million has been awarded for Clean Energy and its customers throughout the company’s existence.
