Cleantech Group honors three local firms
The trio made this year’s list of the Most Promising Private Clean-Tech Companies on the planet.

The San Francisco-based Cleantech Group has unveiled its list of the 100 Most Promising Private Clean-Technology Companies in the world, and three Orange County firms made the cut.
Amonix in Seal Beach, Fisker Automotive in Irvine and WaterHealth in Irvine were named to the list, which also included more than 50 other U.S.-based companies. The trio is among 33 firms from California.
The second annual Global Cleantech 100 was announced at the Cleantech Forum in New York last week.
Cleantech experts – including a 60-person international panel – select the companies they believe are likely to make a significant market impact over the next 5 to 10 years. In order to qualify, companies must be independent and for-profit, and they cannot be listed on a major stock exchange.
