Orange County families today are facing increasing challenges and pressures, often with no resources to support them. Families Forward, an Irvine-based nonprofit social services agency, recognizes the stress local families are under and has organized the first-ever Community Resource Fair to provide myriad services that many residents may not otherwise have access to. The fair will be held Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Irvine Valley College in Irvine. Admission is free

Families Forward has partnered with Hoag Hospital, Wells Fargo, The Allergan Foundation and Irvine Valley College to bring many essential services and resources to Orange County families.

Direct services such as child immunizations, health screenings, legal advice, financial counseling and more from leading industry providers will be provided.

The expertise will come from Hoag Hospital, Public Law Center, Consumer Credit Counseling and the Fair Housing Council.

Additionally, about 50 other companies and agencies will be present providing information, services, counseling and support.
