The region has been without service to the islands for two years – since Aloha Airlines went bankrupt. “We are excited to launch more service to Hawaii,” said Continental Vice President of Marketing Jim Compton. “The new flights to Maui complement our existing service to Honolulu, providing our customers more travel options to Hawaii.” Flights to Maui depart from John Wayne Airport at 5:40 p.m. and arrive at Maui's Kahului Airport at 9:25 p.m. The return flight leaves Maui at 12:10 a.m. and arrives in Orange County at 7:45 a.m. The daily Orange County-Honolulu flight departs at 9 a.m. and arrives at 12:45 p.m. The return flight departs Maui at 2 p.m. and arrives in Orange County at 9:35 p.m. Continental Airlines, including Continental Express and Continental Connection, is the world’s fifth-largest airline, offering 2,500 daily flights throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. The airline has 41,000 employees and has hubs serving New York, Houston, Cleveland and Guam. It carries approximately 63 million passengers annually. |
