Lily Knowles’ internal drive and perfectionism propelled her to her current high-ranking position at internationally acclaimed consumer electronics brand VIZIO. Her life and her career are largely defined by her desire to give something to others. Consequently, she strives to make herself a better marketing executive by listening to her clients and going that extra mile to provide them with timely and relevant information.
As the captain of Team Luke, a medical missions project from Azusa Pacific University that provides medical assistance to people in Mexico, Knowles found joy in serving those less fortunate and giving back to the community.
She opened her first business at age 5, selling avocados from the 100-year-old tree in her family’s backyard. Knowles says that her father “not only taught me the how, he challenged me to know the why behind everything: what the customer wanted, why it was important to pick the biggest avocados so people would feel like they got the best value and how to price competitively with the grocery stores. Then he framed my first dollar bill so I would also remember how hard work pays off.” vizio.com
