Megan Lavender

Chief Operating Officer, INK

By Elaine Murphy & Sarah VaughnPublished: May 01, 2012

Six years ago, Megan Lavender invested $5,000 in her startup business. As the chief operating officer and co-founder of Irvine-based advertising agency INK, Lavender has worked with major brands such as VIZIO, Cox Communications and Warner Bros. In its short existence, INK has grown 750 percent and has remained strong during the economic recession.

“I get excited about striving to create a work culture that allows people to express their entrepreneurial spirit. As a working mom, I feel passionate about creating an environment that supports work-family balance,” says Lavender.

Her entrepreneur father and goal-oriented mother instilled in their daughter a drive for success and taught her to have a strong work ethic. When Lavender struggles to make business decisions, she focuses on what will matter in five years. This working mother of two is “always thinking about that next big goal and how to achieve it,” while striving to create a work-life balance. ink-la.com
