Lauren O'Gorman
Media and Communications Manager, Anaheim Ducks Hockey

A UCLA graduate, Lauren O’Gorman started as a communications intern for the Anaheim Ducks in 2005. By 2008, she had worked her way up to her current role as the hockey team’s media and communications manager. She has been at the helm of major advertising campaigns, including the new Anaheim Ducks Breakaway Bar & Grill at John Wayne Airport and the permanent Science of Hockey exhibit at the Discovery Science Center.
When the Ducks won the Stanley Cup during her second season at the club, O’Gorman fully leveraged “a fabulous occasion to grab the national spotlight, expose our brand and showcase what a dedicated, community-oriented franchise we have here in Orange County. It shifted our media reach and scope into overdrive. The media opportunities following our championship were unparalleled.”
As a media executive, O’Gorman thrives in creatively using different forms of new and non-traditional media to promote the Ducks, and she enjoys adapting to a fluid advertising industry that is constantly seeking new ways to advertise through different avenues, including social media and viral campaigns.
Her passions include staying active by running and skiing, cooking, entertaining, spending time with her friends and family, building business partnerships and relationships with professional contacts, and – of course – hockey. anaheimducks.com
