Danny Sonenshine

As a law school graduate, Danny Sonenshine put his degree to use for six years as a corporate lawyer before tiring of a law practice’s demanding schedule. He wanted to trade his rigorous career for one that would allow for more control over his time. After exploring different options, he switched gears and founded Far West Restaurant Group LLC, which owns 19 Wingstop franchises and the rights to the chain in Southern California.
Based on advice his father gave him, “to take calculated risks and to treat everyone you encounter with respect,” Sonenshine decided to partner with Wingstop because of the company’s solid growth record. His first restaurant opened in 2005, and he now has his sights set on opening a national fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant franchise.
His current schedule allows for time with his wife and two daughters, as well as two of his hobbies, running and community involvement. He holds leadership positions in organizations such as Human Options, the Young Presidents Organization and BRAVO, an organization that helps support the Orange County Performing Arts Center. wingstop.com
