Dan Nasitka considers his current gig at the Discovery Science Center “a dream position, because I get to collaborate with an amazing team while creating the PR department from scratch. I’ve worked on a lot of PR/communications projects before, but this has by far been the most fun and challenging.”
Since Nasitka is only 26 years old, his most significant accomplishments are yet to come, but he first realized he was successful when he was asked to serve on the board of the Public Relations Society of America’s Orange County chapter.
In business, he follows the advice of a good friend, who told him “It’s who you know that will get your foot in the door, it’s your talent and passion that will blow the door off of the hinges.”
He strives to create lasting relationships and do a daily good deed for someone without expecting anything in return. Nastika’s long-term goal is to open his own communications firm, but in the meantime he tries to outperform himself and be a role model to aspiring professionals. When he’s not at work, he mentors a young boy through Big Brothers Big Sisters, travels, and plays the guitar, piano and trumpet. discoverycube.org
