Why we like them: Employees get to work at a fun place where the

Lucky Strike is a company infused with entrepreneurial spirit, and
employees are encouraged to make their voices heard, says Jen
Perrymore, its marketing director. For employees of the upscale bowling
lounges, that translates to big opportunities for moving up the company
ranks. The general manager of the Orange location, for example, worked
his way up from an entry-level job.
Employees at the management level and above have full benefits –
medical and dental coverage, paid sick days and vacation time. But what
appeals to everyone – from people working in the corporate office to
the dishwashers and party hosts – is Lucky Strike’s central purpose:
bowling and fun. “To work in an environment where your business is fun
is really appealing,” says Human Resources Director Gail Stoltze. And,
she notes, “We have a lot of good bowlers in our ranks.”
