Jarrod and Gavin Dogan are South African ex-patriots who are shaking up the apparel world with one of the fastest-growing Orange County companies, Hybrid Apparel. Founded and self-financed by Jarrod 15 years ago, Hybrid Apparel has its roots as a T-shirt company and is the licensee of big-name brands such as Levi’s, No Fear and Reebok. Younger brother Gavin Dogan joined the Cypress-based firm nine years ago and has been a key part of its evolution into a diversified full-service apparel company that employs 220 full-time workers and is experiencing growth rates of 50 to 100 percent annually.
Working with his brother has been rewarding, says Gavin, and the company has succeeded because they “divide and conquer.”
