NICHOLE CARROLL
Owner, designer and stylist of Tyler Rose Swimwear
In addition to being the niece of USC football coach Pete Carroll, Nichole Carroll is a successful Orange County-based stylist, designer and entrepreneur. A bikini from her newest line from Tyler Rose Swimwear has been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She is also actively involved in A Better LA, her uncle’s charity.
Most important lesson learned:
I think any lesson you learn from is important, but most of all, treat others the way you wish to be treated. You never know whom you’re going to meet, and I have always prided myself on living life as a courteous, gracious and outgoing person, open to new experiences, opportunities and people.
Next big step:
Taking TRS to the next level and expanding the brand. I’m always open and welcome to new opportunities; I can only go up from here. Possibilities are endless.
Advice for other young professionals:
First of all, do something you love, something you are passionate about. Know your strengths and weaknesses, and focus on your strengths.
What you do for fun:
Besides designing swimwear and styling, I am looking to become more involved with charity work. One I have my eye on is A Better LA. Trojan Football. Spending time with friends and family. And, of course, walking poolside like it’s a runway, in Tyler Rose Swimwear.
If you could have dinner with anyone – alive or dead – who would that be and why?
It would be a fun night – Halston, Led Zeppelin, Diane Von Furstenberg, Ellen Von Unwerth, Sir Richard Branson, to name a few. They are/were moguls, icons and legends who intrigue, inspire and make me dream big. From their talents, careers, passion, creativity and accomplishments, I am amazed and aspire to do great things.
