Jared Pobre founded his company, Future Ads, with a $500 investment in 2001. Today, it is one of the fastest-growing interactive firms in the nation, and it pulled in some $50 million in revenue in 2009, landing it on the 2009 Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies.
An Orange County native, Pobre is the entrepreneur behind the casual gaming Web sites Gamevance and PlaySushi. Sites like Gamevance attract and entertain casual gamers – the so-called “soccer mom,” Pobre says, which is a coveted advertising demographic.
Pobre has raked in accolades, including the Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology, the 2009 American Business Award (STEVIE) for the Fasted Growing Company, and Deloitte and Touche’s Tech Evolution Award.
