Matt Gahan won perhaps the best prize for an ad man. He made a commercial called “Casual Friday” and submitted it to a contest held by CareerBuilder.com. He won, and the commercial was broadcast to a TV audience of 106 million. “I really don’t even remember it, it was so exciting,” says Gahan, who did not know his commercial would air until he saw it during a Super Bowl party: “It was surreal.”
Gahan and his colleagues at his production company, 18 Stone Giant Media, had been entering contests in hopes of making a splash. They hit it big with the concept of an office that took its casual Friday dress code a little too far, with workers strolling around in the buff.
