JENNIFER SINCLAIR
Founder of Luxur-Eco and co-founder of The Eco Key
At 24, Jennifer Sinclair founded Luxur-Eco, an eco-friendly bed-and-bath amenities supplier for hotels, resorts and spas. Luxur-Eco donates a portion of the company’s profits to earthshare.org. She recently co- founded The Eco Key, which provides Google search hits to eco-friendly products and services.
Most important lesson learned:
To be patient. I have learned that everything happens at just the right time, with just the right people at just the right place.
Next big step:
With Luxur-Eco, starting a recycling plant so that when our products’ shelf life is over, they can be properly discarded. With The Eco Key, I plan to be traveling outside the U.S. and raising awareness about the effects of pollution.
Advice for other young professionals:
Surround yourself with like-minded individuals. You always end up being the average of the five people you hang out with the most – choose wisely. Remind yourself that if you know what your doing, you’ve stopped learning.
What you do for fun:
Relax – relaxing is the new fun. I love to be surrounded in nature and disconnect from the outer chaos. Going to the beach and practicing yoga come in a close second.
If you could have dinner with anyone – alive or dead – who would it be and why?
There are so many people whom I would love to sit down with and pick their brains, but I would say Gandhi because I truly believe we must be the change we wish to see in this world.
