![]() Tony DiCostanzo has an entrepreneurial drive and a passion for launching companies from startup to acquisition. After selling a health-care company in 2007, he’s been focused on BookPal, which sells books in bulk to business, education and government clients, such as the U.S. military, Fortune 500 corporations and school districts. DiCostanzo has driven a sales growth of 200 percent in each of the last two years. Some of his orders total more than $1 million. DiCostanzo’s business acumen began while paying his way through Pepperdine University. He assisted a management consultant in growing his firm from two to 10 professionals. He left to spend 10 years in corporate finance and strategic planning, working his way from financial analyst to CFO, including stops at businesses such as Cendant and Disney. “Growing a business isn’t much different metaphorically than driving a car – to get somewhere, you need to know where you are going,” DiCostanzo says.
