![]() As the focus on clean technology and the environment becomes the mainstay in the 21st century, there are few people with more drive and finesse to push these projects along than Mike Levin. An attorney, media rep and government affairs adviser, Levin has worn many hats in his career. Now he is the main government liaison for FlexEnergy, a clean-power company that has developed technology to make electricity from methane gas obtained from landfills, wastewater treatment facilities and other venues. In a typical week, Levin is actively engaged in Sacramento and Washington politics, helping to frame the debate around clean energy and environmental policy. In particular, he educates key policy makers at the local, state and federal levels on the merits of FlexEnergy’s role. It’s a natural transition for Levin, who, as a political junkie throughout his adult life, has worked on many campaigns, doing everything from calling voters to walking precincts to raising money.
