![]() Back in 2006, Naushad Huda was graduating from Whittier Law School with aspirations of being a corporate attorney. “I wanted to help businesses and entrepreneurs navigate their way through all the legal pathways,” Huda says. “I appreciate the way attorneys think, as they can be very creative when they need to find a solution. I dig that.” Instead, he decided to take a leap of faith with zero capital in a high-risk, growing industry. The use of wireless devices was exploding, and Huda knew that advertising on those platforms would become commonplace. So he used his savings to start Textopoly for the purpose of branding companies via text messaging, mobile ads, mobile apps or mobile Web. Now the award-winning company drives advertising and marketing for brands such as Google, Yamaha, Microsoft, Comedy Central, Food Network, Kikkoman, Chivas, Kaplan, the Detroit Red Wings, Burger King and NBC.
