If you are at Santa Anita or Del Mar betting on an important race, Molly Jo Rosen is probably there, too. A fixture in the thoroughbred racing industry for the past 10 years, she travels coast to coast as a journalist, handicapper and bloodstock adviser. Rosen started her highly respected blog two years ago and now contributes to The New York Times’ coverage of major events in “The Rail.”
Rosen also produces videos and is social media manager for the website GradeOneRacing.com. And she recently launched two other ventures: 2yoSales.com to aid busy horse buyers, and the Internet radio show Post Parade that has quickly become a must-listen-to program for industry insiders and novices alike.
“I often write or produce video features from the viewpoint of being an ambassador for the sport, knowing that I am privy to sights and sounds that are often missed,” she says. “Whether it’s producing ‘The Derby is in The Details’ or taking a group to the Santa Anita paddock, it’s all about showing people what the racing industry is truly about.”
